Moonfish | I have been single my entire life and for years I've wondered why considering that I have Libra Venus in the 7H ruled by the 7H. First impression, I assumed that this placement would attract a loving partner or generally help in the relationship department, but I've found it to be quite the opposite. I have done some research and I found that people with this placement either stay single or live very detached lives from those they do consider a partner... Quoting someone else I found with this placement quote: We are close in age and I have never been in a relationship too. I don't thing is because of astrology. I have libra descendant with venus there in good aspects with moon, mercury, jupiter. My venus (ruler of my 7th house) is very well aspected and I am a forever single person.I fall in love easily but men are not interested in a serious relationship with me. It's very frustrating.

quote: Ruler of the 7th house in the 7th house Your partner may be quite selfish or self-sufficient and goes for his or her own urges and instinctive drives. In a certain way, the partner lives his or her own life, detached from your life. Your partner may be eccentric who does not want to belong to a certain gang/group/family. You are very intellectual and need mental stimuli.
http://www.cosmitec-astrological-compatibility-advice.com/ruler-of-the-7th-house.html Fortunately, my Venus squares Uranus so I normally don't mind being alone most of the time, but there are days where my Libra Venus longs for the companionship. Overall, I just found this to be very helpful |
Doux Rêve | That makes sense because the 7H is the 1st from the partner's perspective, it's their "me" house... (Aries). Although with Venus there I think that interpretation needs to be mitigated a little. In your case I certainly believe the square to Uranus plays a major role. Believe it or not, it does often create a rather deserted love life, and an overall detachment either from the native or the SO. Impediments in relationships are usually reflected in the Self; however I can understand how frustrating it can be to feel like what you want is just out of reach... From one Scorpio to another... ~ (Good to see you, Moonfish!) |

"Entire life?" You're just 24, just getting started. I was single until I was nearly 39. Give it some time. The notion that the 7th ruler in the 7th, especially Venus/Libra, somehow works against partnership defies common astrological sense. Not everyone who speaks of their own lives in astrology forums understands their own chart as well as they think, or the astrological factors pertinent to the matter. Venus in the 7th suggests the desire for a sweet/charming partner with good manners and tastes, and in Libra suggests a desire for someone that indulges you a bit. When you pre-doom yourself (as the person quoted above) you are preempting any astrological influence good or bad. Sure you want to do that? I'll remind you that your Venus is square Uranus, which indicates the need to find balance through detachment, and a looser approach to affection and commitment than what is conventional for couples/marriage. If your DC cusp falls in Virgo and your Mercury is in the 9th, look to persons in far away places/other countries as possible partners -- or persons involved in travel/higher ed/publishing, etc. Also folks with Sun conjunct Mars in Scorpio are pretty independent and are generally in no hurry to change your life setup. Give it time. People like us whose charts are heavy in fixed signs (especially water/earth) need more time to work out a balance in life that allows relationships a space. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ |
SoStellarOne | Man, I'm kind of bummed to hear that because I have my Saturn, my Descendant and my 7th House all in Libra. I've been single all my life. . . but I'm a very loving guy, I just don't understand why it feels like I have this barrier around me that makes it hard for people to connect with me on a romantic level. It sucks because I really do want a lovelife, but it is just so damn hard to get one. Not only that, but I find it difficult to have friends. I mean, people like me. . . but I don't have the type of friends whom I can call at anytime or hangout with to just have a great time with. And now hearing about this? I guess there's no hope for this lonely soul. |

Saturn in 7th house does not mean you will never get married or be in a real relationship. "Saturn delays, it does not deny." that's my mantra and I stick to it. |

Descendant - Scorpio / Pluto in 7th. How bout this apple? |
hannaramaa | You guys! Just keep putting yourselves out there. There's nothing wrong with you and you'll meet the right person. Astrology can't control your life if you're not living it. I have Saturn in Cap in my 7th house, DSC is Sag. I've got Uranus and Neptune there too, and Venus squares Saturn. I could use all of those to bemoan why I'm single, but you know? I can't MAKE people be the right match for me! And all my coupled friends are actually boring and not spontaneous (well except for one who travels all over the world, but her life is unreal so...) and all the people I thought I wanted to be with are actually terrible for me. If I didn't have Saturn in the 7th I might be stuck in that! |

Scorpio's Ancient/Classic ruler is Mars. Where is it in your chart? |

Interesting my husband has that natally with Uranus on his DC and we have it in our composite as part of a T-square with Chiron on the IC and Uranus on the MC. You can say with both of us having water moons that we are very attached to each other but in a detached way and that our relationship is unconventional and very much based on friendship and companionship as opposed to a passionate romantic love, similar to my parents actually (it's crazy how our upbringing predominates over personal preference bc our parents are the first love story we witness and is what we feel comfortable around on a deep unconscious level so it drives our mate selection more than we think or like). My parents both have Venus in Aquarius. My Husband and I can look like we are in love and we are in our own detached way bc we are very affectionate to each other as we both have water moons and Venus in leo and our fights are passionate, well I have Mars in Leo and he has it in Scorpio so yeah of course our fights are passionate lol... The other day I told him that he is not in love with me and he said he was but then I said to him but you have never being deeply madly in love with me and I explained a little how that looks like and he said but I don't do that, that is not me, I have never felt or been like that with anyone. Let me explain that this conversation was very light, casual and detached. I told him that not bc I was hurt or anything, it was just an observation, I know his love is deep in his own style of loving. |

theunknown | 7th ruler in 7 means the activities of the 7th house set agenda for the 7th house. So the aim of relationships are for relationships themselves. Ppl with this placement always try their best to make their relationships successful. So maybe that's why you might veer on the pickier side AND that you're overly concerned with whether or not you were meant for relationships or if there's someone out there for you. I highly doubt that this means you have no love life for the rest of your life. I haven't seen your chart but sometimes what is easy might be delayed. I.e. We work on our challenges and take what we have for granted. Ppl with Venus-Jupiter aspect often are the ones who don't get married at all because having a partner comes easily and they can't seem to commit because they're always flooded with plenty of options. Venus-Saturn ppl on the other hand tend to get married at a young age |

Belage | quote: Originally posted by deptic: 8th House.
According to Cosmictec: quote:
Ruler of the 7th house in the 8th house The 8th house is the house of eternal longings. You feel attracted to people who will not (never) let you go. Your partner should be a tower of strength, even if life changes. This position can point to a very stable union, whatever happens in your life. Encounters can be highly impressive and intense and leave you with deep and often painful (unfulfilled) desires. Relationships should be built on fidelity, stability and reliability. In case these principles cannot be attained, relationships tend to become a cruel and destructive war. Competition may be an issue.

Faith | My 7H ruler, Uranus, was transiting in my 7H when I got married. If that matters? quote: Originally posted by hypatia238: The other day I told him that he is not in love with me and he said he was but then I said to him but you have never being deeply madly in love with me and I explained a little how that looks like and he said but I don't do that, that is not me, I have never felt or been like that with anyone. Wow that is really interesting. And sad to me, even though it was a light conversation. I'm so curious about how you described what deep love looks like, but I guess that is derailing. |

aah08 | Wow interesting perspective...I mean I have Saturn in the 7th and I've been thinking that was the reason why i've been single almost all my life..but now that i see the 7th house from the perspective of my partner, I realized that my 7th house ruler is in my 5th house....which is his 11th...would that mean that all the guys i'm attracted to, just see me as their friend??=( that would explain.... |

Okay, so if my 7th house ruler is in 8th house. that mean in my partner 2nd house? correct? how would people/partner see me? or is my calculation no-good? |
